What type of School is St. Peter’s?

We are proud of what St Peter’s is able to offer children in the Windsor area. We are small enough to know all our children and large enough to offer specialised teaching, good buildings and resources.

St Peter’s is a 9 – 13 years Middle School within the Windsor system. Although the majority of our children come from Old Windsor, we draw widely from Windsor First Schools and beyond. Most of our students go on to the two Windsor Upper Schools.

St Peter’s is a Church of England Academy in the Oxford Diocese. We offer a Christian education to children whose parents wish them to be educated within a Christian community. We are a family school of a size in which all children can be known, valued and encouraged to achieve their best.

Students are encouraged to take a full part in the religious life of the School and there are regular acts of worship. We have rewarding links with the Parish Church: the Vicar leads assembly twice a month and the whole school attends church on a number of occasions during the year.

Records show that the school has served the village of Old Windsor since 1799 when it was administered under the Hammersley Trust. We are confident that the school will continue to flourish and to maintain its close links with the community.
